Welcome to Academic Achievers! These terms and conditions govern the use of our tutoring services, website, and any related content provided by Academic Achievers. By booking a session or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

Academic Achievers offers tutoring services to students of various academic levels. Our tutors provide personalized instruction for subjects ranging from primary education to university and chartered qualifications. The services provided may include one-on-one sessions, homework assistance, exam preparation, and other educational support services.

Session Validity

All sessions purchased are valid for 40 days from the date of booking. Any sessions not used within this time frame will expire. We encourage students to schedule their sessions within the validity period to ensure they can fully benefit from their package.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule a tutoring session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the session still being charged in full. We reserve the right to charge for missed sessions if proper notice is not given.

Expectations and Conduct

At Academic Achievers, we strive to provide a professional and productive learning environment for all students. To ensure a smooth and effective tutoring experience, we ask that all students and parents adhere to the following guidelines regarding lateness, online connection quality, and behavior during sessions.

Lateness

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occasionally cause delays. However, we ask that students arrive on time for their scheduled sessions to make the most of the allotted time. If a student is late to a session, the session will still end at the scheduled time, and no additional time will be provided. If a student is more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, the session will be considered a no-show, and the session fee will still be charged in full. To avoid interruptions or lost learning time, we encourage punctuality.

Online Connection and Wi-Fi Quality

For online tutoring sessions, a stable and reliable internet connection is essential to ensure smooth communication and learning. We recommend that students use a strong Wi-Fi connection and a device capable of supporting video conferencing such as Microsoft Teams/ Google meet. If the student’s connection is poor, it may disrupt the lesson, and we may not be able to proceed effectively with the session. In the case of repeated connectivity issues, we may reschedule the session at our discretion, but the session will still be charged. To minimize connection problems, students are advised to check their Wi-Fi strength and device functionality before the session begins.

Behavior During Sessions

We expect all students to maintain a respectful and focused attitude during lessons. Disruptive behavior, such as distractions, off-topic discussions, or any form of disrespect towards the tutor or others, is not acceptable. Tutors are there to provide academic support, and we ask that students engage fully during the lesson. If a student behaves inappropriately, the tutor may pause or terminate the session at their discretion, and the session fee will still apply. It is important to create a positive and respectful environment for effective learning, and we encourage students to communicate openly and respectfully.
